Cheap liposuction is a term that should be looked at in two ways:

1.  Unqualified or inexperienced liposuction.
2.  Low cost or inexpensive liposuction.

If price is important to you and you’re looking for cheap liposuction make sure you actively seek out the second option because people sometimes look for low cost liposuction, but end up with unqualified or inexperienced liposuction…resulting in all kinds of problems.

All of us want to look good and we want it for the least amount of time and investment. This is even true for those considering plastic surgery. There are a lot of variables when it comes to liposuction, and while cost should be included in any decision, it should never be the deciding factor.  The term “cheap liposuction” is rather subjective because what may be expensive to one person may not seem so high for another.

That said, there are certain things that affect the cost of various liposuction procedures. But one thing is for certain, there is always a direct correlation between the amount of fat removed and the cost of the procedure. The heavier the patient or the larger amount of fat, the higher the price of the procedure. Liposuction that is done in hard to reach areas, such as the inner thigh, also runs more. In addition, you should take into account the fact that liposuction in some areas may require more than one treatment. This will definitely affect the final cost.

Some people incorrectly assume that the cost of non-invasive liposuction treatments will be considerably cheaper than tradition surgical procedures. This is far from true. As a matter of fact, the newer the procedure, the higher the fees. Typically, traditional liposuction fees run from $1,500 to $7,500 per procedure.  Is this cheap liposuction to you?

There are also additional costs for the procedure not covered by the surgeon’s fees. These include, operating room fees, anesthesia, lab work and any recovery garments needed for recuperation time after surgery. You can also expect the economy of where the procedure is performed to affect the cost. If it’s in an expensive part of the country, the fees will be more. If the surgeon you choose is in high demand or has special experience expect the procedure to cost more.

It is possible to go out of the country and find “cheap liposuction” for some procedures, but you should exercise extreme caution when considering a procedure in a foreign country. Some countries do have high standards, comparable to the United States, for medical training, while others go to the opposite extreme. If you decide to seek medical treatment abroad you should still look for a physician that has trained in the United States or under a comparable education system.

So beware as you explore your options because there are two kinds of cheap liposuction:  inexpensive and inexperienced.
